Our chefs are real pleasure hunters in the kitchen. Incidentally, this is also written on our work clothes in the kitchen.
The preparation of meals and menus is at the centre of the training. Our trainees learn all the relevant work techniques and everything important about food, from meat and fish to plant-based cuisine and desserts. And you will find out how cooking can be turned from a craft into an art directly from our Krone chefs at the cooker!
The apprenticeship itself also includes insights into purchasing, warehousing and menu creation - and of course the team spirit in the Krone team!

Kitchen specialist (m/f/d)

This apprenticeship is perfect for those who want to work practically in the kitchen. With us, you can learn professional cookery from scratch. If you like, you can continue your training as a chef with an additional year.
After their training, kitchen specialists are familiar with all the basic kitchen skills. They learn how to process and prepare food, both simple and complex dishes made from meat, fish and vegetables. They also develop skills in preparing and garnishing salads and desserts as well as making simple soups and sauces. This includes learning various working and cutting techniques, cooking methods and the safe use of recipes and kitchen equipment. Receiving and storing goods as well as basic knowledge of hygiene are also part of the training content.

Our "ReVas" are the link between kitchen and guest, they have all the know-how to accompany our customers during their special guest experience - from atmospheric family celebrations to large conferences or daily à la carte operations. The role of host also includes working at the bar, at events or preparing and following up.
During your training, you will take on the role of host in the restaurant, at the bar and at various types of events. You will learn all the important processes, from seasonal and event-related preparation of the premises to advising guests and the professional serving of drinks, food and menus. Invoicing is also part of the job.
From the conception of conferences, banquets and celebrations to the organisation and implementation, you will always keep an overview and hold the reins.

The classic hotel management apprenticeship mainly focuses on work at reception, but also covers various areas of an accommodation establishment, including food & beverage (service and kitchen), housekeeping (room design and maintenance), merchandise management and marketing.
