Just 7 KM from the start—the perfect hotel for the Allgäu Triathlon

In August, the 44th Allgäu Triathlon takes place in Bühl on Lake Alpsee and is considered Germany’s oldest triathlon.

A cult classic since 1983—it brings a very special tradition to life anew every year.

And we think that fits our hotel quite well.

Because tradition is also very important to us.

Our hotel has been owned by the Schafroth family since 1898. Over the course of more than 125 years, what began as a small village inn has grown into a hotel that today welcomes guests from near and far.

Four generations have shaped the Krone—each with its own unique touch, but all with the same dedication, and passing on customs and hospitality has always been a major and important part of that. But it’s not just the traditions surrounding our hotel that are important to us—the traditions of our homeland are as well.

That’s why we’ve been welcoming participants in the Allgäu Triathlon right from the start.

While the athletes spend months preparing for this weekend, we’re also busy with our own preparations.
We take reservations from our guests and plan the operations both at the hotel and in the restaurant. Our priority is always to carefully tailor everything to the needs of our visitors.

As the host hotel, we ensure that the athletes can focus entirely on their competition.
Our location—just about seven kilometers from the start and finish areas—allows for a short and relaxed trip to Bühl am Alpsee, so that competition day can begin without any additional stress.

Whether you’re an athlete or a support person—with us, you’ll be close to the action while enjoying the tranquility and hospitality of our hotel.

Because for us, a successful competition weekend involves more than just the right preparation:

It also requires a place where you feel completely at ease.
