Hike, stop for a bite to eat, enjoy: these Alps are still open

Hiking season isn't over yet.

Early November marks the start of the quieter season here in the Oberallgäu, but there's still plenty going on in the Alps.

Things are slowly getting quieter in the mountains, and the hiking trails are becoming less crowded.
If you’re wondering whether a hiking vacation is still worth it, we have a very clear answer:

Absolutely! Because we think this is when one of the most beautiful hiking seasons in the Allgäu begins!

Once the biggest rush to the Allgäu Alps has subsided, it’s the perfect opportunity to explore the mountains.
Far away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, you can now explore the mountains at your own pace and enjoy the beautiful mountain panorama in peace and quiet.
For anyone who doesn’t want to miss out on a cozy stop at one of the local alpine huts even now, we’ve put together a brief overview.

These alpine huts are still open:

Alpe Obere Kalle: until November 7, 2026

Kemptner Naturfreundehaus: until November 8, 2026

Alpe Oberberg: until early November

Siedelalpe: until early November

Juget-Alpe: until November

Mittag Rasthaus: open year-round

Important: The closing dates for these alpine huts may change at short notice!
Therefore, please check the respective website before starting your hike to find out the current opening hours.

And if your legs feel heavy after hiking, you can put your feet up here and relax as you wind down the day in our spa.

If you’re interested in experiencing the quieter side of the Allgäu for yourself, we look forward to your visit.
